Welcome to the Cape! Get ready to enjoy some fun with your loved ones that will have you counting the days until you can come back for another visit in the summer. Even though you might not get that hot beach day in the Spring, the Cape offers everything you would want from gorgeous views, family-fun activities, date night spots, beauty and self-care favorites, endless shopping opportunities, nature experiences, and more! Check out our recommendations for planning your next long weekend on Cape Cod.
Day 1: Mini Golf & Delicious Food
There is nothing better than a beautiful Spring day spent on the Yarmouth Mini Golf Highway with your favorite people in the world. Head over to Pirates Cove in South Yarmouth for some classic family-fun competition. Your children will fall in love with this exciting course as it was named "the next best thing after Disney" by the Boston Magazine in 2012. The two 18-hole courses are some of the largest on Cape Cod, and the ice cream on-site for when your family is done is quite literally the cherry on top. After building up an appetite, stop by next door to Captain Parker's Pub, a family-friendly restaurant for drool-worthy sandwiches, burgers, seafood entrees, and more.
Day 2 (Or Any Rainy Day): Museums
If you are looking for a creative and fun experience for your children, be sure to book a visit with Cape Cod Children’s Museum. The Museum is ready to become “the premier destination” for families with children under 10 years old visiting Cape Cod. This is the perfect spot for an indoor activity for a rainy day on the Cape and will ensure that your child has an exciting day while still following the indoor COVID safety procedures.
Another exciting indoor activity that both you and your child will love is a visit to the Whydah Pirate Museum. The indoor voyage learning experience houses a partial replica of the shipwreck and the largest collection of Pirate artifacts from a single shipwreck in the world. You can also stop by the gift shop for some apparel and jewelry as a memoir for this wholesome family visit.
Day 3: Nature Outings
Take advantage of those beautiful Spring days by getting some fresh air and exercise at the Cape Cod Rail Trail. The trail spans from Dennis to Wellfleet and is safe for walking, jogging, or a bike ride. You can check out our blog post on how to plan the perfect day along Cape Cod Rail Trail on our website here.
