3 Days Worth Of Fun In Harwich Port: Full Itinerary

Welcome to Harwich Port!

Harwich Port is one of the most desirable Cape Cod spots. Actually, Harwich Port was ranked #2 Happiest Seaside Town by Coastal Living Magazine. We've created a three-day itinerary for you to have the best possible experience in Harwich Port to avoid any stressful vacation planning.

First, Explore Your Harwich Port Rental

As a New England Vacation Rentals partner, we're able to provide our readers with exclusive rental deals and concierge services. Our featured Harwich Port, MA property is Dolce Vita, Unit 202 in Harwich Port Commons.

The condo will provide you with over 2,000 square feet in luxury-styled living with a balcony and a rooftop terrace. Enjoy your vacation in this gorgeous 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo located in the heart of downtown Harwich Port. Everything you will need for your perfect Cape Cod getaway is just two blocks away whether it is restaurants, beaches, or shops! Location in this "happy seaside town" is one of the best things about this condo.

This rental will provide you with everything you will need and more! Two parking spots reserved for you and your family in The Port. Our favorite thing is the additional room upstairs that has a lounge area on the rooftop terrace. The deluxe chef’s kitchen, stainless steel appliances, and modern beach decor make this a comfortable getaway for you and your family.

Day One: Beach and Waterfront Dining

Get up early and don’t miss a moment while staying in one of the most favored places on the Cape. Grab a cup of coffee and head to your rooftop terrace, take in the gorgeous views, get some fresh air, and watch the town of Harwich come to life. What better way to continue this calm, beautiful morning than to head to Bank Street Beach that is less than half a mile from your stay. The warm waters are perfect for swimming and watching the boats cruise through the area is the perfect beach scene while catching a tan on the notorious soft sand of Bank Street.

After a gorgeous beach day, head back to the Commons to clean up and regroup before heading back into the exciting downtown area for a mouthwatering dinner and breathtaking view at the Brax Landing for waterfront dining. This gorgeous view is under a mile away (0.7 miles to be exact) from the Commons and will give you the Cape Cod meal on-the-water experience.

Day Two: Shopping and Fun

For the second day of your trip, hit the best local shops in Harwich Port, just steps from your rental. Walk out the front door and right onto Main Street where you can find trendy boutiques and beachy gift shops. Try Dr. Gravity’s Kite Shop for toys, candy, and all of your beach activity essentials. Make sure to check out Murphy’s General Store - is a classic, old fashioned Cape Cod general store in a 143-year-old building! Lastly, check out Sativa, a gift shop and boutique. Sativa has all of your favorites from chic apparel, bath and body care, jewelry, and beachy home decor.

After a day of shopping, bring the kids to Grand Slam Entertainment only a two-minute drive from your rental. Opening for their 33rd summer, Grand Slam has everyone’s favorite outdoor activities. Have some competitive fun in the Cape’s largest bumper boat pool. You can also take a ride on the zipline that stretches right over the bumper boat pool. Let the athlete in the family hit the batting cages or climb on Grand Slam’s newest rock wall.

Sweet Izzy’s is all dairy-free making their ice cream with delicious coconut and almond milk! Grab a waffle cone with an endless amount of toppings, a large sundae, or even a milkshake to cool down and treat yourself after an adventurous day.

Day Three: Flowers and Vineyards

On day three, explore some of Cape Cod’s best scenery at the Cape Cod Lavender Farm only another quick five minute drive from the rental. Take a peaceful stroll through the grounds of this family-owned business located at the heart of 11 secluded acres. The lavender harvest occurs during late June to mid-July when the flowers are at peak color and bloom. Cape Cod Lavender Farm offers a variety of Lavender-based gifts from soaps, candles, oils to chocolates and lemonade. Feel relaxed and rejuvenated in this fragrant garden and take a little piece home with you too.
