The holiday season can be very busy with work, social, and family events. Down the Cape Concierge has organized Holiday events on Cape Cod by date and area to help plan your schedule! Upper Cape

Glassblowers’ Christmas Exhibit, “A Stained Glass Village”- Sandwich Glass Museum

Make your holidays sparkle with beautiful, unique, hand-blown ornaments from Cape Cod’s finest glass artists. Featuring a collection from Annalise and Tom Nelson. Gardens Aglow- Sandwich Heritage Museum

Join us for the celebration of lights that has become a treasured Cape Cod holiday tradition for over a decade! Heritage’s expansive gardens will be aglow with beautiful light displays, extensive indoor holiday décor and numerous activities around the grounds and galleries. This year visitors can expect expanded lighting displays and outdoor interactives, along with all of your favorites from previous years! More Info

Holly Days in Sandwich- Throughout Sandwich

A month-long tradition that transforms Sandwich into a winter wonderland with festive holiday fun that includes a town-wide Cookie Stroll, reading and lighting of The Littlest Christmas Tree, community carol sing, home tours and special promotions. More Info

The Train to Christmas Town - Cape Cod Central Railroad, Buzzards Bay

Based on the beloved children’s book, the Train to Christmas Town, our holiday ride recreates on board the story book tale that is sure to become a family favorite tradition! Operating on Weekends until Christmas. More Info

Falmouth Holidays by the Sea Weekend- Downtown Falmouth

Sing carols at Historic Nobska Lighthouse as the winter’s sun sets over Vineyard Sound. Run the Jingle Jog 5K and Kids Elf Run along Vineyard Sound.  Greet Santa as he arrives by boat at beautiful Falmouth Harbor. Enjoy the Main St. festivities of the Holiday Stroll and also join in the caroling at the lighting of the Village Green. More Info

Mashpee Christmas Parade- Mashpee Commons

Every float at the night time event is brilliantly illuminated in the spirit of the season. Award-winning bands dazzle the crowds with festive music, holiday garb, and of course more lights! The parade kicks-off at 5:30 p.m. at Deer Crossing, aka “Reindeer Crossing”, travels through South Cape Village, and culminates at Mashpee Commons. More Info

55th Annual Falmouth Christmas Parade- Main Street, Falmouth

Begins @Noon at the Falmouth Mall and proceeds down Main Street to the Village Green. Known as Southeastern Massachusetts’ largest holiday parade featuring theme decorated floats, marching bands, live animals, costumed characters and Santa Claus! More Info

Cape Symphony: Holiday on the Cape- Barnstable High School Performing Arts Center

Our annual tradition is the way you start the holiday season! Celebrate home and hearth, the warmth of family and friends, and the music that brings it all back, year after year. Revel in classic holiday songs, gorgeous carols, and a Celtic Christmas celebration. Raise your voices in song, along with the orchestra and our good friends the Chatham Chorale. Madeline's Christmas- Harwich Junior Theatre

In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines lived twelve little girls in two straight lines.   So begins this delightful story of Madeline’s Christmas! The day begins like any other day. Miss Clavel takes the twelve little girls on their morning walk. They go to the zoo and then back to school for their French history lesson. Suddenly disaster strikes when everyone gets the flu! Everyone that is, except for the ever-resilient Madeline. Saddened that they may not be able to go home for Christmas, the girls and Miss Clavel take to their beds. Hyannis Village Christmas Stroll, Harbor Lighting/Boat Parade and Breakfast with Santa-

Main Street, Hyannis

The Hyannis Village Christmas Stroll is filled with fun and holiday cheer for the entire family! The day begins with Breakfast with Santa, followed by plenty of activities for the entire family to enjoy. At 4 p.m., everyone will gather at the harbor to enjoy the illuminated boat parade, all decked out for the holidays! More Info

Holiday Festival at Taylor-Bray Farm- Map

Start the Holiday season with a visit to Taylor-Bray Farm from 9am-4pm. For the Festival the barn is filled with delicious homemade baked goods, beach plum jelly, wreaths, swags, centerpieces and other crafts, all made by Farm volunteers. Taylor-Bray Farm calendars, activity books, t-shirts and grocery bags are available. More Info

LoveLocal Fest: Holiday Edition- Capetown Plaza, Hyannis

Yarmouth Port Christmas Stroll- Route 6A, Yarmouthport

Join us as we celebrate the holiday season with the Yarmouth Port Christmas Stroll. The stroll will include many participating businesses offering tasty treats! Some additional highlights include magic shows, face painting, juggler, brass band, trolley rides, photos with Santa at the Captain Bangs Hallett House (courtesy of Walgreens), crafts, and a multitude of food offerings. Holly Folly Weekend in Provincetown- Throughout Provincetown

Do not miss these three days of holiday revelry, from traditional carols ‘round the piano to the not so traditional Speedo run down Commercial Street. Not quite what Currier and Ives had in mind, Holly Folly antics are a fun kick-start to the season with a non-stop line-up of events including the Gay Men's Chorus, dancing into the night and the popular 'Shop Hop,' where you vie for great prizes while taking advantage of major sales happening in Provincetown's shops and galleries. Free to everyone is the ever popular Inn Stroll, an open house at a number of Ptown's famed guest houses. Eastham Holiday Festival- Gift Barn

Sponsored by the Gift Barn & the Eastham Chamber of Commerce, this free event draws hundreds of children every year to help kick off the holiday season. This festive day includes a visit with Santa at the Gift Barn 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tell him about your Christmas list and get some free goodies! Then ride the free trolley to the Orleans-Eastham Elks Lodge to create holiday crafts, get your face painted, and enjoy entertainment. Refreshments, gifts, and more.
